As you’re hiring a new car, you won’t face a 500 PLN fine - to be on the safe side, you can ask about the year of manufacture of a specific vehicle when you collect it.
Where can I collect my car from Kaizen Rent at Chopin Airport, and how long do I have to leave the car park?
The Kaizen Rent office is located at 1 Żwirki i Wigury Street, right inside the terminal at Chopin Airport (WAW) — literally by Entrance 1, next to the McDonald’s restaurant. You can complete the formalities at the office and collect your car from car park P34, which is just a 5-minute walk from the terminal.
Once you’ve collected your keys, it’s best to leave car park P34 as soon as possible: the first few minutes of parking are cheaper, but the rates increase progressively and the bill can mount up quickly if you wait too long.
Kaizen offers 24-hour collection and return, so an early flight or a late arrival is no problem.
How much will I pay for parking in the city centre — and are there any cheaper options?
Warsaw’s Unguarded Paid Parking Zone (SPPN) operates from Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 20.00 (free of charge at weekends and on 2 May, 24 and 31 December).
The current rates in the basic zone are:

- 5.40 PLN for the second,
- 6.40 PLN for the third,
- and 4.50 PLN for each subsequent hour;

Access to the Old Town is restricted - the streets are narrow, cobbled and mainly accessible to residents and delivery vehicles at specific times. You won’t be able to drive a hire car deep into the Old Town without risking a fine or damaging the vehicle on the uneven surface. The most convenient option is to park near Krakowskie Przedmieście or in Nowe Miasto and continue on foot - the Old Town is a quarter of an hour’s walk from most car parks in the area.
