FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CAR RENTAL IN GORZÓW WIELKOPOLSKI
How much does it cost to park in the city center if I leave a rental car here?
Gorzów has a single Paid Parking Zone covering the city center - roughly the area between the Warta River and 30 Stycznia Street, and between Dworcowa Street and Cichońskiego Street.
Fees apply Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Parking within the zone is free on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
Weekday rates are progressive:
first hour - 3.50 PLN,
second hour - 4.00 PLN,
third hour - 4.50 PLN,
each subsequent hour - 3.50 PLN.
If you prefer off-street, 24-hour parking, the municipal OSiR lots at 4 Jagiellończyka Street and 23H Walczaka Street cost approximately 3.00 PLN per hour and operate seven days a week.
Can I rent a car without a credit card?
Sure, that’s no problem at all! For most vehicle classes in our modern fleet, we accept a physical debit card issued in your name. The only requirement is selecting the Comfort PLUS package when booking. This offers a double benefit: the refundable security deposit is reduced to a nominal 1 PLN, and you gain full protection against costs arising from unexpected damage during your trip.
Please note: A credit card is required only when renting vehicles from the Premium segment (classes E, SUV LUX, and SUV Premium).
Can I drive a rented car to Germany - for example, to Berlin?
Yes - taking the vehicle abroad is permitted, provided you notify Kaizen Rent in advance and obtain written consent. The nearest border crossing is at Kostrzyn nad Odrą (approx. 40 km away), and Berlin is about 120 km away - a drive of less than an hour and a half via the A11/A10 motorways.
It is best to confirm the terms for cross-border travel (299.00 PLN for the entire rental period) when making your reservation—please contact us by phone.
Is a Clean Transport Zone in effect in Gorzów - can an old car enter the city center?
There is no Clean Transport Zone in Gorzów Wielkopolski; the city has not enacted any entry restrictions based on exhaust emission standards or vehicle age. You can freely drive a rental car into any part of the city without incurring extra fees or needing special permits. The only restrictions in the city center are the standard traffic prohibitions and the paid parking zone rules described above.
Where is the best place to leave my car overnight if I'm staying in the city center?
Parking within the Paid Parking Zone is free after 6:00 PM and throughout the weekend, so you can leave your car right on the street in the city center in the evening at no cost. If you need a guaranteed parking spot around the clock, the municipal OSiR car parks at 4 Jagiellończyka Street and 23H Walczaka Street are open 24/7.
Avoid the narrow streets near the cathedral and the Warta River boulevards - parking spaces there are scarce, especially on weekends during cultural events.
How do I get to the airport from Gorzów - and which one is the closest?
The nearest airport is Szczecin-Goleniów - approximately 110–130 km north via the S3 route (about a 1.5-hour drive). An alternative is Poznań-Ławica - about 160 km away (approx. 2 hours via the S3/A2). Berlin BER is approximately 200–230 km away (2.5–3 hours via the Kostrzyn border crossing and the A11/A10 motorways) - this is worth considering if you are flying from Germany or looking for cheaper flight connections.
When booking the car, please let us know if you plan to return the vehicle at the airport, and we will check the available options.
Can I pick up the car outside the opening hours of the branch on Wróblewskiego Street?
Yes - Kaizen Rent allows for vehicle pick-up and return outside standard branch hours at 12 Wróblewskiego Street, subject to prior arrangement. This service incurs an additional fee of 99.99 PLN.
You can make a reservation by calling +48 76 727 99 99 (24-hour line) or by using the online form. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up, and the security deposit starts at just 1 PLN when choosing the Comfort PLUS package.
What documents are needed to rent a car?
We keep formalities to an absolute minimum because we respect your time and prioritize convenience. To pick up the keys to your chosen car, you simply need to present three physical items when meeting our driver: a valid driver’s license (held for at least six months), an ID card or passport, and a payment card. You sign the agreement with a single signature on a tablet, the documents are instantly emailed to you, and you’re ready to hit the road!
Can I pick up the car in Gorzów Wielkopolski and return it in another city or at the airport?

You can pick up a clean, fully fueled car in Gorzów and drop it off at any of our over 30 locations across Poland - for example, in Poznań, Szczecin, or directly at an airport of your choice.
