Why our clients recommend us

How do you Rent a Car at Lodz-Lublinek Airport?

Our car rental company is dedicated to developing and improving our people, processes and customer service. We are determined to introduce new standards and innovative solutions. This is why car rental at Lodz Airport now offers more value with our Meet & Greet service.

Meet&Greet – what is it?

Originating from the West, the „Meet and Greet” (M&G) service has become a permanent feature at Polish airports, including Lodz Airport.

With this service, the car rental company sends a car from the nearest branch along with a driver who becomes the face of the company. The driver takes care of properly transferring the reserved vehicle into your hands.

M&G standardizes the car pick-up and return procedures at all locations, ensuring a consistent experience when renting a car at Lodz Airport and minimizing unpleasant surprises

M&G car rental step by step:

  • First, the driver sends you a link to track the vehicle's location;
  • Then, he leaves the car in the appropriate parking lot at the airport;
  • He waits for you at the terminal in the arrivals hall (you will quickly recognize him because he is holding a card with the Kaizen Rent logo);
  • After greeting you, he will show you to the car;
  • At the car, all the formalities for signing the rental agreement are taken care of;
  • You work together to draft a report on the vehicle's condition;
  • He hands the keys and all the necessary documents for the vehicle;
  • Finally, he says goodbye and wishes you a „good journey”.
  • Returning the car to Lodz airport is similar. Park the car in the P2 parking lot, hand over the keys and documents to our driver at the departure hall entrance, and that's all. The driver will take care of the parking ticket and escort the car to our branch. Alternatively, you can return the car at our branch office in Lodz. We can't wait to welcome you back!

Frequently asked questions about car rental at Lodz airport

Do I need to bring a printed reservation voucher when I pick up my car?

A voucher confirming a car reservation at Kaizen Rent at Lodz Airport is one of the necessary documents to show when picking up a rented car, especially if you ordered a car from a broker (on the broker's website). However, you do not need to print this document. It is enough to have an electronic version of it with you, for example, on your phone.

Are prepaid cards accepted at Lodz Airport?

At Kaizen Rent, we accept credit and debit card payments. You can also make payment by bank transfer in advance. If you are unsure whether your card is a credit card, please check with your bank before picking up the car. Please note that prepaid and electronic cards (such as Visa Electron) are not accepted.

Where exactly is the car hire office at Łódź-Lublinek Airport, and how do I find it after landing?

At Władysław Reymont Airport in Łódź, located in Lublinek (at 35 Gen. Stanisława Maczka Street, 94-328 Łódź), we operate a modern and extremely convenient Meet&Greet service. This means you don’t have to wander around the terminal looking for a traditional office or stand in queues. Our driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall holding a sign with our company logo, so you can spot us easily. The car you have chosen and prepared will be waiting, ready to go, in the P2 car park at the airport, where you will go together to complete the formalities.

The whole process is quick, straightforward and without any unnecessary red tape – we sort out the paperwork electronically ‘here and now’, and you sign the contract with a single signature on a tablet. As soon as you leave the arrivals hall, you’ll be handed the keys to a clean, fully fuelled car, and you can set off on your journey without any hold-ups. With us, the airport is always on your way!

Can I drive a hire car into the centre of Łódź without any restrictions?

In 2026, Łódź had not yet introduced the Clean Transport Zone, so a hired combustion-engine car can travel freely throughout the city centre. However, the Paid Parking Zone (SPP) is in force – charges apply from Monday to Friday between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm in sub-zones A, B and C; on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, parking in the SPP is free of charge.

Official announcements regarding plans relating to air quality and electric mobility can be followed on the Łódź City Council’s Ekoportal.

Where can I park my car in the city centre without having to pay by the hour?

The Galeria Łódzka car park, located closest to Piotrkowska Street and Łódź Fabryczna station, offers the first hour of parking free of charge – this is a convenient option for a short visit to the city centre without the risk of a fine from the SPP (the additional charge for not having a valid parking ticket is 150 PLN if paid within 7 days, or 200 PLN without a discount in subzone A).

Alternatively, you can leave your car in the car park between the blocks of flats in Łódź’s ‘Manhattan’ (entrance from Wigury Street, near 204/210 Piotrkowska Street). Within the estate, the car parks are managed by residents’ associations and housing cooperatives; they often have pay-and-display systems, but it is still relatively cheaper and easier to find a space there.

Parking spaces at Łódź Fabryczna station on the side facing the EC1 Planetarium are part of the city’s Pay-and-Display Parking Zone:

  • At weekends (Saturdays and Sundays): Parking is 100% free round the clock. You can leave your car on the street or park in the station’s underground car park without any worries.
  • On working days (Monday–Friday): Parking is subject to a charge between 7.00 and 19.00. Payment can be made at a parking meter or via mobile apps (e.g. AnyPark, mPay, moBiLET). The first hour costs between 6.00 PLN and 6.90 PLN (depending on the exact sub-zone and whether you hold a Łódź Resident Card).

Multi-storey car parks near the city centre:

The city has built modern, multi-storey municipal car parks near 12 Tuwima Street and Wschodnia Street, which operate outside the standard road network.

  • These are car parks accessed via a barrier and fitted with an automatic number plate recognition system.
  • A standard, fixed municipal tariff applies: 5.50 PLN per hour of parking, 24 hours a day.

What time should I leave Lublinek Airport to avoid getting stuck in traffic on the way into the city centre?

The route from Lublinek Airport to the centre of Łódź (approx. 6–8 km) runs mainly along Piłsudskiego Avenue and the W-Z route – sections that are particularly congested during the morning (7:00–9:00) and afternoon (15:00–18:00) rush hours on weekdays. Outside peak times, the journey takes 15–20 minutes; during peak times, it can take up to 35–45 minutes. If your flight lands between 3.00 pm and 6.00 pm on a working day, it’s worth considering a short stop near the airport or planning your route via the S14 ring road towards the northern or western districts.

Can I return the car outside the opening hours of the branch at 35 Maczka Street?

Yes – the Kaizen Rent branch at 35 Maczka Street handles vehicle pick-ups and returns 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you wish to return the car outside standard customer service hours, you must arrange the handover in advance – this service incurs an additional charge of 99.99 PLN.

You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled collection time.

How long does it take to collect the car on arrival?

We know that after your flight you just want to get on with your day, which is why, in the spirit of Kaizen, we’ve simplified the hire process as much as possible. Before you land, you can complete a quick and secure online check-in, so we can keep the paperwork at the airport to a minimum. The car handover is done digitally – you check the documents on a tablet, sign once, and the contract is sent straight to your email. The whole process takes just a few minutes. You load your luggage into your new, fresh-smelling car and off you go!

What should I do if my flight to Łódź is delayed?

Rest assured, we’re keeping a close eye on things! When booking via our website or helpline (which is available 24/7), please provide us with your flight number. Our team in Łódź constantly monitors the list of arrivals at Lublinek. We’ll wait for you for 60 minutes as standard. If your flight is delayed, you can always let us know via our 24-hour helpline or chat – we’ll find a solution that suits both of us. With us, your travel plans are always in safe hands.

Can I collect or return a car outside normal opening hours?

Of course. The road knows no such thing as office hours, which is why we operate flexibly. Picking up or returning a car outside the branch’s standard opening hours is entirely possible with us, 24 hours a day.

Night-time collection and return: Our driver will deliver the car to the terminal at the agreed time (in accordance with our terms and conditions, this incurs a small flat-rate fee of  99.99 PLN for night-time service).

Quick, convenient and stress-free.

Is it worth hiring a car at Lublinek Airport, and where are some good places to visit in the region?

Absolutely! Hiring a car straight from the terminal gives you complete freedom – something public transport simply can’t offer. Best of all, at Kaizen Rent we don’t impose any mileage limits on private customers, so you can drive as far as you like whilst keeping full control of your budget. Łódź is right in the centre of Poland, so every route works out perfectly. It’s well worth taking one of the new cars from our fleet – all less than two years old – for a brilliant weekend road trip or a business meeting:

  • Łódź and Manufaktura: Discover the industrial heart of the city, its murals and the bustling OFF Piotrkowska.
  • Termy Uniejów: Relax in a modern complex of thermal and spa pools (approx. 55 km from the airport).
  • Stryków: A key national logistics hub, which our business clients can reach in the blink of an eye.
  • Warsaw: Thanks to its proximity to the A2 motorway, travelling to the capital in a comfortable SUV from our fleet is a real pleasure.
  • The Blue Springs in Tomaszów Mazowiecki or the Geometric Centre of Poland in Piątek: Perfect ideas for a quick day trip out of town.

Can I return the car to a Kaizen Rent branch other than the one in Łódź?

Yes! Flexibility and freedom of choice are our top priorities. We fully understand that travel plans can be unpredictable and may change. You can easily return a car collected from Łódź Airport to any of our more than 35 branches across Poland (e.g. in Warsaw, Gdańsk or Wrocław). According to our price list, the fee for returning the vehicle to a different location (‘one-way’) is just 249.99 PLN, giving you complete freedom when planning your routes.
